Common Cycle

Common Cycle teaches the citizens of Ann Arbor, Michigan how to fix their own bicycles by providing bicycle repair tools and educational materials.

Learning to fix your own flat bike tire is critical for daily bike commuters, and the tools and training should be accessible and equitable.

I collaborated with Common Cycle to create this open-source instruction sheet for how to change your own flat bike tire.

We wanted the instructions to be friendly, encouraging, and inclusive. We hoped that anyone could see themselves in this brave little dog — if dog can do it, so can you!

These instructions have been translated into multiple languages, and have been used in public libraries, bike shops, and advocacy groups all over the world!
